About the Dream and Promise Act

Millions of immigrants are at risk of deportation because Trump terminated DACA, and ended the Temporary Protected Status (TPS), and Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) programs, making every undocumented person a priority for deportation.

It is imperative Congress pass the Dream and Promise Act of 2019 to secure permanent protections for immigrant youth, TPS holders, and DED recipients now. The Dream and Promise Act builds off of the Dream Act of 2017 that our movement supported. It would include permanent protections for the largest cohort of undocumented immigrant youth, but also for the more than 400,000 people with TPS and DED who live and work in the United States, and made this country their home.

With this new bill, we are committed to charting a new path forward–away from the attacks on immigrants and our families and to stop Donald Trump from exploiting our communities as bargaining chips for his divisive, ineffective border wall and increases to his deportation force.

The Dream and Promise Act is bold, progressive, and the most inclusive immigration reform bill–and could be the first bill that helps immigrants without hurting our communities under the Trump administration. Are you with us?

Step 1: Sign The Petition

Millions of immigrants are at risk of being separated from their families and removed from their homes because Donald Trump ended Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and Deferred Enforced Departure (DED), and killed DACA, making every undocumented person a priority for deportation.

The Dream and Promise Act, the most inclusive immigration bill, is the first step towards a future where all undocumented people can live and thrive without fear of deportation and being separated from their families and loved ones.
